Howdy would you mind letting me know which hosting company you're working with? I've loaded
your blog in 3 completely different web browsers and I must say
this blog loads a lot faster then most. Can you suggest a good web hosting provider at a reasonable price?

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it!

Discovery is all about understanding the context of your needs. Apple won’t help me with a blog or even good reviews. They will add a filter indeed. a quality one. But that won t help me get to the Apps that are must have for me.

When I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox now if a comment is added I buy four emails with related comment. Could there be that is that you are able to eliminate me from that service? Thanks!

[...] Looking at the iPad’s Home screen, we see the other extreme. Apple’s tablet is so “transparent” that most users, this geek included, forget that it doesn’t have a windowing system. Yes, it has a Dock, but there’s no Finder, no windows, no file system, no sidebar. Just icons, applications that launch and quit without delay. Downloading and installing applications is simple (although finding them isn’t always easy. I think the App Store needs curation and better discovery tools; see a past Monday Note on this very topic here). [...]

Hi Jean Louis (bonjour..)

you re touching the most senstive point of those new ecosystems. Discovery is a highly complex issue because it requires way more than just editorial work and a blog. The reason to that? Context.

Discovery is all about understanding the context of your needs. Apple won't help me with a blog or even good reviews. They will add a filter indeed. a quality one. But that won t help me get to the Apps that are must have for me.

One example: geogrpaphy. Apple is way behind in helping me find apps that are right for my city or even my neighbourhood.

With Appsfire.com (a french based company, backed by top european investors) we're trying to solve that issue by leveraging the activity people generate with Apps. This is something a team of editor cannot compete with. For example we created the first live ranking based on sentiment and not download leveraging the activity on facebook and twitter > appsfire.com/apptrends

And more is coming.

Happy to discuss the matter off line

Just a heads-up, everyone, you too, are using the word "curate" incorrectly:
http://incisive.nu/2010/content-curation-an-epic-poem/ <- a series worth reading. Will help purge that word now.
